CÉFRadio
The radio station of the Conseil des écoles fransaskoises, featuring school and community news, as well as radio and video productions created by Saskatchewan’s Francophone students.
About...
is the multiplatform community radio station of the Conseil des écoles fransaskoises (CÉF). It is first and foremost the voice of students, teachers, parents, and the Fransaskois community across Saskatchewan.
Produced in schools from the elementary to the secondary level, CÉFRadio programming places a strong emphasis on the development of oral communication skills. Our goal is for every student to build the confidence and ability to speak effectively in public, adapt their message to different communication contexts, and participate thoughtfully in discussions and debates while respecting the perspectives of others.
Through these experiences, students develop the language skills they need to communicate effectively, express their ideas, and strengthen their critical thinking.
CÉFRadio aims to:
- Raise students’ awareness of media and media literacy;
- Integrate classroom learning through the preparation and presentation of live and pre-recorded radio broadcasts;
- Encourage the development of oral communication skills;
- Develop students’ ability to write informative texts;
- Provide opportunities to practise expressive and dramatic reading;
- Promote the use of precise and varied vocabulary;
- Foster collaboration and teamwork;
- Develop critical thinking skills in relation to media;
- Explore the history and geography of Saskatchewan.
